You know, when I was younger, I grew up in the Saint-Michel neighborhood, where we more than often encountered obstacles, lack of money, lack of support and social isolation for fear of being judged. This is a common problem for immigrant families like mine. They want to offer their children a better world, but don’t really know how to go about it. So they suffer in silence!

One of my greatest dreams is for my company to be able to change the course of one family’s life, one child at a time, by giving back to the community. Eliminate isolation and powerlessness, restore hope and make people realize that, despite the many difficulties they face day after day, they have the ability to change the course of their lives. They are the captains and masters of their own future. As Nelson Mandela said: “The greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising again every time you fall.”

With every MYLA BELLA product purchased, $1 will be set aside to help revitalize the Saint-Michel district, by investing in community centers, summer camps, homework help, local food banks and buildings in need of a facelift. The greatest gift and project close to my heart is the construction of a Multicultural Center with stages for performances, musical art workshops, a fitness club, a personal development center, a mediation center, a café serving traditional meals and much more. A family-friendly, fun-filled place for everyone, warmly welcoming you no matter what your differences. SKY IS THE LIMIT!
