The story of Myla Bella
Who's behind Myla Bella?
Johanne Ducheine,
A woman, a mother, a wife, a nurse, an entrepreneur with a vision and a heart for women’s health, beauty, balance and well-being! Today, thanks to the encouragement of my dear mom and husband, I’ve been able to turn this pandemic project into a hair care company and a splendid community of determined women.
During the pandemic, I realized that I had to take care of my physical and mental health to get through it! I started by creating a healthy beverage to boost my immune system, a hand oil blend to help my daughter’s eczema and ended by making products to care for my dull, brittle hair.
Since all the stores and salons were closed, I had no choice but to take matters into my own hands. I read and watched everything I could about how to take care of my hair.
When I discovered the world of hair care, I was FASCINATED AND CAPTIVATED by this new world that links chemistry, biology, alternative medicine and herbal medicine.
I had become an Alchemist! I was looking for the best combination of natural, organic plant oils to create healthy, effective products that would perfectly meet my needs and those of thousands of women.
I soon realized that natural hair oils are increasingly in demand, as they are considered healthier, more nourishing and more environmentally friendly than traditional hair products that contain harsh chemicals. For two years, I met with hair professionals and cosmetic chemists. I studied and tested formulas to finally find a winning combination.
I received so many comments about my hair that it made me feel more confident and proud, and I thought of all the women who will be lucky enough to get to know this great product. My mother was my first FAN!
So I seized the opportunity and founded my own hair care company, «Myla Bella». As a child of immigrant parents, growing up in Montreal’s North End neighborhood of Saint-Michel, my dream of making a difference could finally become a reality.
Why Myla Bella? My daughters are my life, my essence, my inspiration. Watching them grow into radiant young women gave me the idea of using their first names: M for Maëlle, Y for Yasmine, L for Léane and A because I love A-ending sounds!
