How do you get a long-lasting French manicure in just 15 minutes?
Here’s a quick guide:
Start by carefully cleansing the skin around the nail plate.
A good way to do this, if you don’t have any specially designed cosmetics on hand, is to use natural products.
Lemon juice is perfect, just dip your fingertips in the lemon and after a few minutes, the effect will be amazing.
Then soften the cuticles in a bowl of warm soapy water and remove them, preferably with a wooden stick.
Next, you can also apply a special nail polish to your cuticles and nails, but don’t forget to clean your hands before applying the nail polish.
An acetone-free nail polish remover works well for this.

- Paint your cleaned nails with a thin coat of clear nail polish or conditioner.
- Paint the tips of your nails with white varnish or special paint (you can use special protective strips, which are best removed after the white varnish has dried).
- Repaint the entire nail with natural nail polish in one or two coats, depending on the desired effect.
- Apply a coat of protective varnish or varnish hardener if necessary, and you’re done.
How to get a French manicure from a hybrid?
When you perform a French manicure with hybrid nail polishes, you first need to gather all the accessories required to do so.
You’ll need special nail polishes, including base and top coats, and a UV lamp.
The cost of such a device is relatively low, and pays for itself after just a few uses.
So, if you plan to do manicures at home on several occasions, it’s well worth investing in quality equipment.
How do I create a hybrid French manicure?
At first, take care of your nail plate and cuticles, as you would for an ordinary manicure.
The varnish layer will adhere better if the nail plate is matt.
When your nails are ready, follow these steps:
- Apply a base coat to the nail and cure in the lamp according to the instructions.
- Apply the special color you’ve chosen for the French manicure, e.g. natural, light, light pink, and harden this layer in the lamp.
- Using a fine brush, draw drops of white almonds onto the white part of the nail and allow to harden under a lamp.
Use a white hybrid varnish. - Apply the top coat and cure in the lamp.
Apply the finishing coat
If you do a lot of nail treatments and polishes, make sure you take the right vitamins for your nails.
This is particularly important if you’re using a hybrid polish, the removal of which can damage the top layer of the nail.
At the end of the procedure, always apply special nail vitamins, available in liquid form applied to the nails or as special hair- and nail-strengthening globules taken orally.
If you want to take care of not only your hands, but also your feet, see how to give your feet a French manicure.
The following steps are exactly the same as for your toenails.
However, you’ll need more precision to draw the white lines on the outside of the nail, whether you opt for a classic or hybrid manicure.
Of course, as with your hands, it’s essential to look after your feet systematically and properly, because only then will your feet really look their best.
Try to remove calluses regularly and moisturize your feet.
This will keep them smooth and moisturized.
Don’t forget that it’s your feet that bear your weight all day long, so treat yourself to a relaxing bath or massage from time to time.
Colorful French manicure
If you’re bored of the classic French manicure, try the colorful option.
In recent years, it’s no longer just beige and white, but also many other colorful variations.
How do you do a colored French manicure?
Exactly the same as the classic model.
You can paint the nail plate only with conditioner and highlight the tip with color, such as turquoise.
You can also paint your nails the color of your choice, e.g. gray, and do the tip in pink, black or purple as you wish.
It’s also advisable to finish with a top coat to make the effect last longer.
How do you achieve a perfect white tip on every nail?
How to create a French tip depends on the shape you’re working on, whether it’s an almond, oval or square.
On nails coated with Mineral Base in Natural shade, we fix the extreme points of the French “moustache” and mark them with white varnish.
If the nail is almond-shaped, there’s 1 point in the middle of the free edge, if it’s oval there are 2 points, near the middle, and if you’re painting the French fringe on a square, there are 2 points, dividing the free edge into 3 equal parts.
We determine how high the whiskers will reach the sides of the nail.
It’s important that the end points are at an equal height on both sides.
Connect the dots.
Using a small amount of brush, draw straight lines to mark the initial shape.
The wider the nail shape, the further apart the lines are, e.g. on a square, and the narrower the nail shape, the more the lines meet, e.g. on an almond, the lines meet at one point.
To mark the thickness of the French tip, simply draw a simple, straight line.
You decide how high you draw it.
Round off the edges with a brush.
Start with the center line and press the brush at a 45° angle to create a curve, ending with the “mustache” lines on both sides of the nail.
Pass the brush in a smooth, even motion to give the tip a smooth, aesthetic shape.

If you’re right-handed and have trouble painting the left side of the French bow, ask your friend to turn her hand over and voila you’ll still do the right side of the bow.
The same goes for left-handers who may have difficulty painting the right side of the bow, just turn your hand over.
Fill in the contour with white hybrid using the brush, taking a small amount of product and painting the tip, making sure that the layer is not too thick and does not leave streaks.
Harden under a lamp for 30 seconds.
French manicure: Common mistakes
Too much white varnish. If you apply too much white hybrid, there may be a curing problem and the tip may create a large, light curve.
Too little white varnish. If you apply the hybrid too thinly, trying to spread it all over the tip, unsightly streaks will form.
Too high. If you paint the white tip too high “too close to the middle of the plate”, the French manicure will become too wide, visually thickening and shortening the nails.
Too weak. French paint that’s too low can also look bad, but it all depends on the style.
Many women paint thin French nails, which are also very beautiful.
A bad curve. The degree of curvature of the bow is important in the French style.
If you go too high, you’ll get a “dramatic French” look.
This version won’t suit all shapes, and any error in handling will be very noticeable.
On the other hand, a French cut that isn’t curved enough is no longer a French cut.
This version will look good on feet.
